Safe handling of needles and vials

Small tools for safe work with needles and vials.

Modified Hemostat PT172

Safe needle handling in aseptic conditions.

The clamp reliably grips the head of a syringe needle – for removing the needle from its sheath, inserting it into the rubber stopper of a vial, pulling it out and discarding it, and for connecting it to or disconnecting it from a syringe with a radioactive solution.

Two handles with locking teeth and a smooth slot for the needle head close to the pivot axis.

Tweezers MP-1H (horizontal grip) are suitable for activity meters whose well chamber has a side opening. The special shape of the jaws and the closing spring ensure a secure hold of the vial during the entire handling.

The dose to the hands is reduced at least 120 times compared with holding the vial directly in the hand.
