Application of ALARA principles
Each operational procedure is designed as a system of sequential, simple handling steps. Direct hand contact with radioactive vials and syringes is significantly minimised, thereby keeping staff radiation exposure at the lowest reasonably achievable level.
The system is based on the patented principle of dispensing from a vial in a slanted position and on shielding the radiation source as closely as possible – which also keeps the device’s weight and cost low.
